After a long and hot summer in Japan (which was not helped by the power restrictions after the nuclear accident), the leaves are finally beginning to change color. Found these ivy leaves growing up the side of an old shed. Combination of the colors and the white background is quite stunning.

White Heron

Back after a bit of a long break. With the coming of winter, like many other camera enthusiasts locally, I have been chasing our resident kingfishers up and down the canal/river. While walking the dog this morning, I actually managed to sneak up on a white heron and take a rather good photo. Please enjoy!!!!
