Desktop Wallpaper Giveaway No.2

It seems that we are slowly coming to the end of autumn, which means that there are fewer and fewer insects and other small things around to photograph. Sooner or later, I will have to put away my macro lens for the winter, and start looking for bigger things to photograph.

Anyway, here is this week's giveaway. It was shot in among the herbs in our garden. It shows a fully mature female praying mantis. I particularly like the definition on the spikes on her forearms. Talk about being armed to kill. Looking at the these weapons, it is easy to imagine prey being speared.

Desktop Wallpaper Giveaway No. 1

As anybody who has accessed this blog will notice, most of the photos shown are linked to a Photobucket account rather than being directly uploaded to this blog. Moreover, most of the photos shown have this blog's URL embedded in them to prevent unauthorized usage. Occasionally, however, I intend to upload some files directly so that people can use my photos as desktop wallpaper. Please enjoy!!!!!

New Beginnings

This is my new blog, and in time it will take over from my previous blog which is entitled Camerachallenge.

This new blog was developed for the following reasons:

• Firstly, I wanted a URL that was easier for non-English speaking visitors to remember. Living in Japan, people often ask me if there is a blog where my photos can be seen. Unfortunately, up until now many people have not come to see my photos because of the difficulty in remembering the URL.
  
• My second reason for switching my blog address was that I intend to develop K99 Photos as a brand. As such, K99 is a lot easier to remember.
  

Anyway, I hope whoever reads this entry decides to bookmark my blog and visit again in the future.
